Chris Lane
Chris Lane (born in Kernersville, North Carolina) is an American country music singer-songwriter. ==Career== Before pursuing a solo career, Lane fronted the Chris Lane Band. Their album ''Let's Ride'' charted on the ''Billboard'' Top Country Albums chart in 2012.〔 Lane has opened for The Band Perry, Eli Young Band, Lee Brice, Chris Young and Brantley Gilbert, among others. In 2014, he opened for Florida Georgia Line on their This Is How We Roll tour. Lane's debut single, "Broken Windshield View", was released to country radio on June 10, 2014 via Big Loud Mountain.〔 The song was written by Rodney Clawson, Shane Minor and David Lee Murphy and produced by Joey Moi.〔 It was featured on Sirius XM's The Highway and iTunes' New and Noteworthy.〔 It sold 11,000 downloads in its first week of release and debuted at number 45 on the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Songs chart.〔 As of August 2014 it has sold 43,000 downloads. It will be included on an upcoming extended play.〔〔 Markos Papadatos of ''Digital Journal'' gave the song four stars out of five, saying that it is "reminiscent of Florida Georgia Line meets Dierks Bentley". He wrote that "it has a great deal of energy, and it is fun and radio-friendly, with a rock vibe to it."〔 ''Taste of Country'' wrote that Lane "shows vocal range" on the song and called his style "less aggressive than that of (Georgia Line )."〔 A music video for "Broken Windshield View" was filmed in Lane's hometown and premiered on CMT in August 2014.〔 It was directed by Robert Hales.〔〔
